Designed this hat after discovering the work of New Orleans chain stitch artist Siqourney Morrison. Once I saw her work, I knew there was an opportunity to bring a few ideas I’d been sitting on to life. I had been looking for a camouflage hat with the right silhouette and pattern, but didn’t want one covered in branding. After finding this blank from an Australian company called Uncle Rics, I had Siqourney chain stitch my family’s ranch initials, “RS,” on the front and “Ruby Shadows” above the snap closure. The result is understated, personal, and one of the hats I wear most often.
