By far the craziest piece in my collection. I found this on eBay in 2012 after Kid Cudi’s collaboration with Surface to Air for the “Mr. Rager” video. Cudi had been seen wearing several one-off colorways, including this one. The seller claimed it was an authentic sample made for Cudi himself. I won the auction for around $1,600 at 16 years old with absolutely no intention or ability to pay for it, but somehow the seller shipped it before receiving payment. Years later I posted a photo wearing it and tweeted it at Cudi. He responded asking me how I got it, which pretty much confirmed just how unusual it was for this jacket to be in my possession. One of those completely ridiculous stories that makes the object even better.
