Started with the hat and figured out the rest later. I bought this blank teal hat because I loved the color and shorter brim, with no real idea of what I wanted to put on it. Eventually this Jazz Fest design came to me, so I sketched out the concept and sent it to a local chain stitch artist to bring to life. I love how playful it turned out. The proportions, loose embroidery, and color palette almost make it feel like a little kid’s hat. I’ll probably pass it down to my kids once they can fit into it.
