National Geographic John Muir Trail Map Guide

NOTES
I bought this map to plan my solo hike of the John Muir Trail, despite having never pitched a tent in my life. I was inspired by the idea of going off-grid and challenging myself to complete the trail alone. This became my bible throughout the journey, sometimes relied on heavily and other times barely touched. Over 17 days, I hiked 221.2 miles through the Sierra Nevada, occasionally checking off mountain passes and landmarks as I made my way along the trail. There are even a few dead bugs smashed between the pages. It's worn and weathered from the trip, a physical reminder of one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.
